About me

Many people know me as the head of Social Consciousness at EILEEN FISHER. That’s where I’ve merged my personal values (equity, sustainability, integrity, service) with my professional life. I can think of no better place to develop leadership skills, sharpen my intuition, strengthen my voice and become clear about my convictions. It’s been a gift to work for such an esteemed company and to become influential in the sustainable apparel and responsible business arenas.

More recently, I founded my own firm - Impactorum LLC - in order to support the next generation of sustainability and CSR professionals. I’m hosting a webcast series entitled, “Impact Matters,” and I’m meeting all kinds of fascinating people who are collectively changing the world.

Being the curious type, I’ve also found time to pursue many other passions. Like playing the bassoon (it’s the long, deep instrument often mistaken for an oboe), cycling (have you seen my self-built bamboo bike?), caring for my family (two daughters, a husband and two dogs) and reading (I love Haruki Murakami, Erik Larson and Carl Hiassen, to name a few). Oh, and writing short essays.

Please enjoy the pieces I’ve posted on this site. And let me know what’s on your mind!
